Three Holistic Ways To Get Rid Of Your Dog’s Urinary Tract Infection!

I  procrastinated this blog for years, no matter how much I wanted to write about it,  something else on my list came up first. Few days ago, my dog ‘bam-bam, developed a urine infection, and had to be treated for it. Vet suggested a $100.00 dollar antibiotic.  I remembered few years ago my female dog’ Deeanna, had the same issue. And, was prescribed clavamox, which gave her a reaction and almost killed her, her vet changed to a different one, and was the same  problem. With little hope and no answers from the vet, I took control of the situation, and this is what I successfully have done for both of my dogs when dealing with UTI:

Use Probiotics

After I stopped the drug, I immediately wanted my female to rebuild some of the intestinal flora that was compromised due to the clavamox and it’s effects. Not only the drug affected her immune system, but also wrecked her good bacteria. She was not going to the bathroom easily and noticed it was due to the lack of probiotics in her system. I used few billion units and, she was able to recovered fine. 400 billion probiotics per day, till the infection was gone.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Before you give this to your dog, let’s understand why these infections predominate in dogs and cats: Cannine bladder infections are caused when bacteria enter and infest the dog’s UTC. The condition is uncomfortable and painful.Apple cider vinegar is well known for restoring good bacteria, and help with internal infections. Vet treatment is often recommended, “as I am writing from my own experience”. But it is already an experience with 2 of my dogs. Hence, if you know for sure that your pet has a UTI issue, apple cider vinegar may be the answer for them. Apple cider vinegar is a popular homeopathic remedy, that is good for different things and is absolutely non-toxic.

Effects, Dosage  And Benefits

Apple cider vinegar neutralizes bacteria in the dog’s bladder, to relieve a bladder infection, and maintains acid and alkaline balance in the digestive tract. Apple cider vinegar is a natural way to relive discomfort caused by urinary tract problems. Add 1/2 of tsp apple cider vinegar to your dog’s food. twice daily until symptoms cleared.

Precautions

While apple cider vinegar was effective in my  two dogs UTI problems, I still took them to the vet, they detected the problem and graciously cleared my two dogs, after reading the urine samples, stating both were okay, and back to normal. For this reason, please do not skip medical advice on your pet.

Cranberry Extract

Urinary tract infections usually occur in the bladder when bacteria is developed inside.Cranberry extract is known for stopping the bacteria from attaching to the cell that line the bladder. I gave my pets, capsules of  400 mg of cranberry extract and work real well. And will kill any bacteria that has stick to the bladder wall. As mentioned, I veggy caps, as they are easy to absorb, and travel faster into the blood stream to be delivered in to the bladder to prevent infections.

Conclusion

My experience is a blessing from heaven, as my two dogs were diagnosed with he condition. I must say that my male’s UTI was mild but the smell was horrible and developed urinary incontinence. And the probiotics, aple cider vinegar and cranberry extract. Stopped it totally. The American veterinary medical association, shocks me when says that there is not prove that the aforementioned remedies can cured an UTI! Used your judgement and discretion, but in my case it did not on one of my dogs but the two of them!.
