What are the types of hair loss?
There are also three, analgen effluvium, telogen effluvium, and FPHL.
- Anagen effluvium. This is cause by medication that poison a growing hair follicle (like chemotherapy)
- Telogen effluvium. This is cause by an increase number of hair follicles reaching the telogen phase, which is the state where hair falls out
- Androgenic Alopecia. Female pattern alopecia, female patter hair loss, (FPHL) baldness. This type is the most common. Hair thins over the top of the head and on the sides.
How to prevent hair loss
Protein. Hair follicles are mainly made of protein called keratin. One 2017 study with 100 people with hair loss noted, sevral nutritional deficiencies in participants. Including aminoacids that serve as the bilding blocks of protein. Although more studies are needed, eating a diet rich in protein may help prevent hair loss. Healthy choices include foods like: eggs, chicken, fish, nuts, beans and peas.
Biotin. Biotin is involved in fatty acid synthesis in the body this process is essential to the hair life cycle. And you may experience hair loss if you have a deficiency. Speak to your Doctor about taken 3 to 5 mg daily.
Vitamin A. Vitamin A is composed in part of retinoids which has been shown to increase the rate of hair growth this vitamin may also help with sebum production. Keeping the scalp healthier and able to retain more hair.
