We all are looking for new ways to burn calories and lose the post holiday fat, during winter months. However, we all have to deal with shorter, cold and tough days. I have personally had a setback myself. I had the flu for first time in 6 years. Within 4 days I was back on my fit. So, lets explore 10 incredible tips that will make your immune system stronger, while losing a bunch of calories every day!. If you  follow this accurately, you will never have to deal with another sick day. Or what is worst, feeling overweight and sick.

Law #1-Pinneaple chunks mix with  1 tablespoon of aloevera juice and 1 orange in the morning. This will not only make you lose weight, because of its intestinal health elements. But, will make you indefatigable throughout your day. Pineapple has valuable enzymes , fiber and contains lots of vitamin c. Aloevera is the miracle plant that has everything to do with intestinal health. Oranges, are loaded with fiber and vitamin C. This is a super winter immune system booster. With all the ingredients for weight loss and health.

Law #2-Never leave your house without a tablespoon of switchel: Swithchel is a traditional herbal drink made with apple cider vinager, and some kind of sweetener, typically molases, although you can use honey, maple syrup or white or brown sugar. Switchels contain water and ginger as well.

The recipe

1 oz of thyme

1 oz of lemongrass

1 oz of holy basil

1 oz of eldberries

1 oz of hibiscus

1 oz of sumac berries

1 oz of ginger

3 cups of raw unfilter apple cider vinager

3 cups of raw honey

Directions

Mix the herbs together in a quart canning jar and pour the apple cider vinager over the top. Infuse the herbs in the apple cider vinager  for 2-4 weeks. Strain through a strainer. Add vinager to the honey and mix well. Pour the switchel into a glass yard and store in the refrigerator. Shake before serving

Law#3 Divide your work out in 3 segments. You read well, Stop working out 1 long hour or whatever time it takes you. Start early in the morning for 10, 20 minutes. Plan your work out accordingly, for example, if  you want to start with planks, squats, push ups, etc, in the first segment. Continue in the mid afternoon. And devote 10, 20 more minutes at night. If you live in the cold, it is extremely important that you keep your body’s temperature elevated, through the day. Doing a 3 segment work out will trick your body, and will help your metabolism to act faster. It will also help you to get rid of more fluids. And improve your thermogenic balance. Try it out!

Law #4-Stay on a herbal diuretic during winter time  to expel excess of fluids and toxins. A safe diuretic with the right amount of herbs and plants can not only make you stay light during the day, but also will help you clean your skin and exfoliate toxins off your body.

Law #5-The Ultimate Immune boosting soup: Hippocretes wrote “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”. I believe on that 100 percent. I love winter soups and this one is my favorite, because it contains all the necessary ingredients to boost and build your immune system. Just don’t wait till you get sick start making the soup today!

These are the ingredients I choose and here is why:

Mushrooms– the soup is made in a mushroom broth (simmering mushrooms for an hour+) and mushrooms are a power food that contains Ergothioneine, a powerful antioxidant that helps to eliminate free radicals. They’re also a powerful source of Vitamin D.

Coconut Oil – contains two important anti-viral compounds, lauric acid and caprylic acid. Together these help ward off bacterial and viral infections.

Garlic – eating garlic can actually boost the number of virus-fighting T-cells in your bloodstream. It also contains alliin which converts to allicin, which is believed to be the major antibacterial compound in garlic.

Turmeric – probably best known for its ability to fight inflammation, turmeric contains a powerful antioxidant called curcumin which is responsible for this decrease in inflammation that is oftentimes found to be related to various illnesses.

Bok Choy – it is very high in Vitamin A, which is essential for a properly functioning immune system, while also containing high amounts of vitamin C, an antioxidant that shields the body from free radicals.

Kale – kale. It’s packed full of iron, which is essential for your body working at its ultimate level, along with being a great source of vitamins and antioxidants.

  • 1 T coconut oil
  • 1 large yellow onion, chopped
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 celery stalks, sliced

  • 4 heads baby bok choy, bottoms chopped off
  • 1/2 head kale, chopped
  • optional: 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger

  1. Chop off the bottom of the stem from your mushrooms and discard. Seperate stems from tops and slice tops and remaining stem if necessary, into large pieces. You will only discard the very bottom of the stems, not the full stems as they contain many nutritional benefits!
  2. Heat up coconut oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  3. Add onions and sauté for 5 minutes or until translucent.
  4. Add in garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  5. e benefits are  many, but omong them are the following: Eldberry tea will boost your metabolism, aids in digestion
  6. Add in spices (including ginger, if using) and water and bring to a boil.
  7. Then let simmer, covered for 1 hour or as long as you want (the longer you leave, the better!)
  8. Add bok choy and kale in the last 10 minutes of cooking to wilt.
  9. Serve warm or store for up to 1 week in the refrigerator.

Law #6-Drink lemon water in the morning. Lemons have lots of antioxidants, and are great to clean out your digestive system from unwanted toxins. Lemons contain lots of vitamin c . Lemons also offers you lots of potasium, magnesium, copper. I have been doing lemon water every day for 10 years and the benefits I found are too many to write. Try it with warm water first time in the morning on an empty stomach!

Law #7-Drink elderberry tea:  Elderberry tea can boost your metabolism, cleansing the body, improving vision, speeding up the metabolism, increasing respiratory health, lowering inflammation, protecting against chronic disease, aiding the healing process, stimulating digestion and eliminating chronic pain, among many other benefits. I drink 1 cup before bed and you should do the same!
